THE TALES OF THE LADY TONGUE
This is a group of stories made by the EOEP DE BENAVENTE in which the protagonist is LA SEÑORA TENGUA , and in which different lingual movements are developed through various situations and events.
Through these stories and exercises, children tone, speed up and increase the control of their tongues while having fun.
THE LADY TONGUE GOES FOR A WALK :
The tongue lady lives inside her mouth with her friends teeth.
Mrs. Tongue wants to go out for a walk today.
First open the door to observe the weather outside (stick out your tongue).
Look up at the sky to see if it rains (tongue out with tip bent up).
He looks down to see if there are puddles and has to go home to put on his boots (tongue pointing to the ground).
As you have seen some, he goes back into his house (tongue withdraws and closes mouth).
Finally he goes out into the street, first he looks to the side to make sure no cars are coming (his tongue points as far to the right as possible).
Then look at the other for the same purpose (the tongue points as far to the left as possible).
He then crosses the street, keeping an eye on the left and right to check that he is not in danger (the tongue moves from left to right and vice versa several times).
After the walk, already tired, she goes home to sleep (the tongue is put in the mouth and rests well supported behind the lower incisors).
LADY TONGUE GOES TO THE PARK:
What a nice day today! . Mrs. Tongue has decided to go to the park to jump rope.
There he meets his friends whom he greets (the tongue comes out of the mouth and the tip goes up and down).
Then he begins to jump rope (he leaves and enters the mouth with rhythmic movements without the lips being parted).
THE LADY TONGUE DOES NOT COME OUT BECAUSE IT IS COLD:
Today it is very cold today Mrs. Tongue looks out a little to find out what the weather is like. (the tip of his tongue sticks out a little between his lips).
As the temperature is very low, close the door quickly.
Then it peeks out again and begins to tremble (the tip of the tongue is pulled out and a joint vibration of the tongue and lips is made).
LADY TONGUE GOES TO THE CIRCUS:
Mrs. Tongue goes to the circus and learns to juggle.
One of them consists of remaining in an upright position without moving for a few seconds (the tongue comes out slowly, stretches as much as possible, remains still for a few moments, without hesitation, and returns to the mouth slowly, without touching the teeth).
Bravo, she’s an artist, she’s done it!
And now even more difficult! Mrs. Tongue wants to touch the nose (comes out, lifts the tip up to try to touch the nose).
Another feat! Now he wants to touch the chin (he bends and stretches, he wants to touch the chin).
He did it! He deserves applause.
THE LADY TONGUE GREETS HER NEIGHBORS, THE TEETH :
The teeth are good friends of the lady tongue, so she, from time to time, personally visits each of them.
First he goes to greet those on the upper floor (with the tip of his tongue he touches the upper teeth one by one).
The next day he visits those on the floor below (they repeat the action on the lower teeth).
THE LADY TONGUE GOES TO THE GYM:
Mrs. Tongue has joined the gym to get in shape.
The first thing he does is bend over (with the help of his teeth he folds his tongue up and into the mouth. He keeps this position for a few seconds. Then it shoots out).
It is also bent down (the tip of the tongue is placed down behind the lower teeth, bent and held with the upper teeth).
Finally, the lady tongue practices the most difficult exercise (she bends in half lengthwise, making a small channel).
THE LADY TONGUE CLEANS THE HOUSE:
The tongue lady is very clean. Let’s see how you clean your house.
- Clean cobwebs from the ceiling: Run your tongue across the roof of your mouth in front-to-back, transverse, and rotating movements.
- Clean the cobwebs from the porch: Run your tongue all over the space between your lips and upper and lower teeth and in all directions.
- Dust the walls: touch the inside of the cheeks.
- Sweep the floor of the house: Run the tip of your tongue across the floor of your mouth in all directions.
- Clean the façade: Brush the upper lip with the tip of the tongue, externally and in both directions.
- Clean the sidewalk: The same as the previous one but for the lower lip.
- Shake the carpet: Stick out your tongue and move it vigorously up and down.
The tongue has cleaned a lot. And now who cleans her?
The teeth take care of this (he sticks his tongue out and imprisons it with his lips, does the same with his teeth while slowly pulling it back).
Excellent stories, many congratulations for so much creativity … in language work, how useful these types of materials are! A deep thank you for sharing … “a candle never loses its brightness to light another” …. Regards.
