Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world for 4 reasons

The title of this post is a very apt phrase from the great Nelson Mandela. Throughout history, there have been many brilliant and transformative characters who have attributed the necessary strength to be free to education. Paulo Freire spun finer, saying that ” Education does not change the world, it changes the people who are going to change the world .” And the young Malala Yousafzai, during her speech at the United Nations headquarters in New York on July 12, defended free and compulsory education for all the children of the world with this forceful phrase: “A child, a teacher, a pencil and a book can change the world. Education is the only solution ”.

No matter the way it is said, that education is power is as true as that ignorance stagnates, delays and is the mother of all fanaticisms that do not let us see beyond and therefore prevent the world from evolving , that new ideas emerge giving solutions where it is most needed.

There are places in the world where a child accessing education is already an immense achievement. But if you are reading this it is possible that your child does not have too many problems going to a school where they teach classes in different subjects. This is already fortunate that we can also complement at home by reinforcing the values that will make it grow as a person , since current education sometimes sins as dehumanized and focuses on facts and figures, sometimes forgetting that it is training people.

And if learning and knowledge are essential to change the world, it is also essential to be a good person, to ensure that our child is a human being who knows how to put himself in the place of other people and has enough sensitivity to try to change what does not likes their surroundings.

Why educating your child is essential for their future and that of humanity?

Here we give you 4 reasons that will convince you:

Provides security

An educated child is a child who feels safe before others, because he can express his opinion with other people on many issues without feeling inferior or ignorant. Your self esteem will appreciate it.

Gives knowledge

This, which we think is obvious, is also the basis for comparing reality with the past and thus building a better future. For example, having notions of history will make you better understand the current world and that you can decide what can happen as things are.

Open the doors

It is the key to get out of where you are, to travel, to get to where you want. For example, knowing languages the world has no limits and countries multiply as a range of possibilities.

Expand the vision

The knowledge opens the mind, enlarges the desires and makes the child grow up with a thirst for learning. He won’t settle, he’ll be harder to cheat, and he’ll have the initiative to go his own way and improvise when necessary. He will always go for more.

So now you know, educate him, put wisdom in all its forms within his reach. Make sure that their training is comprehensive and covers all fields. This way you will have a much better chance of being fully and consciously happy.
