How to avoid frustration in the educational process

Believe it or not, the assessment systems that prevail in most educational communities are responsible for the poor grades of many children . And it is that the little ones grow up in a school world that prioritizes results above all else, adding a level of pressure and demand that not everyone can bear in the same way. That is why it is so important to adapt learning techniques to the different types of students that exist, in order to raise the self-esteem of students who have less tolerance for fear and frustration and thereby allowing everyone to be at the same level of conditions when demonstrating results.

 

Things we can do to promote learning techniques

The ideal way to establish a learning and study system that really works is to get to know the children, and there is certainly no better place to do that than at home. It is true that parents have less and less time to enjoy and share at home with their children, but it is no less true that the education of a child is a fundamental pillar that should not be postponed in time for any reason, not even for scheduling difficulties. Therefore, in order to be able to design the method that best suits the capacities of each child, as parents we can emphasize the following basic points:

All these measures should be consulted and shared with the teachers, who also know in depth the weaknesses and strengths of each student . But the fundamental thing is to place trust in the little ones, and make them see that erring is not a failure in education, but a path to success. In this sense, establishing dramatization and group work dynamics can be very positive for children to be aware that doing something wrong should not be a reason for ridicule or shame (since we all make mistakes), but a point of departure for improvement and effort.

Theater and team dynamics will play a very important role in the students’ loss of shame and in the acquisition of confidence and self-esteem, fundamental values for children to lose that feeling of fear and failure that bad grades produce. . Likewise, apply other evaluation systems that do not focus so much on numerical grades, but also on other skills that may be acquired throughout the study and learning process (such as effort, effort or learning to summarize and discriminate information effectively), can be very effective and positive for students and improving training processes.
