The letter from the retired teacher is applauded by many people

Most people have an opinion about the school system and the education of children . In this case a retired teacher wrote a letter to a newspaper to comment on what the problem is according to him.

This is what the professor wrote:

As a retired teacher, I’m tired of all the people who don’t know anything about public schools, haven’t been to a classroom recently, or who think they can fix our educational system.

Teachers are not the problem! It is the parents who are the problem. They neither teach children good manners nor teach them what respect is – children don’t even have a general understanding of how to get along with other people.

Children come to school with shoes that cost more than the teacher’s clothes – at the same time that they don’t even have paper or pencil for class.

When you talk about schools that have “failed,” look at the parents and the children. Do parents go to parent meetings? Do they speak regularly with the teachers? Do you make sure children are prepared and have the necessary equipment? Do you make sure the children do their homework? Do you have a phone number that works?

Do students take notes in class? Do they do their homework? Do they listen in the lessons or is the student one of those who annoys and destroys others?

When you have looked at these factors, you understand that it is not the schools that have failed, but the parents.

Teachers can’t do their job as much as parents’.

Until parents do their job it won’t get any better!

Many teachers have supported this letter, giving it every reason. And you? Are you one of them? Do you think that education should start from the home itself? We think so.

Really true!

There is a lot of work both on the issue of parents, and on the issue of teachers, as well as on the issue of the educational system, and on the issue of society. It is an EVERYONE’s issue. If the teachers complain about the parents, the parents of the teachers, etc … we won’t move forward.

Education begins at home and basic teachings are necessary because the student absorbs the teachings of a primary school teacher and so on, which indicates how good teachers we are or want to be. If we Teresa have successful children and I do not say it just to have. A son is an engineer, a doctor or another profession but to have as children respectful beings with high moral values, in my opinion it is the main thing.

FOR ME THE PARENTS SHOULD EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN BEFORE AND DURING THEY GO TO SCHOOL, THEY SHOULD COME ALREADY WITH THE BASIC EDUCATION OF CULTURE, RESPECT AND EDUCATION, WITH POORLY EDUCATED CHILDREN, disrespectful no teacher can work well! PARENTS who do not see what time classes start to get rid of your children? why? because not even they themselves cannot stand them! They do not educate them and they pretend that the teachers support them!

A fairly “complex” issue, so complicated and with so many edges that the Board of Schools would have to evaluate carefully and thoroughly. The dissociation that exists between the Educating Entities and the Parents who are the First Educators of their Children is evident. it is highly regrettable. This System of Direct Communication between Educators and Parents is unusual in the Argentine Public Educational System. It only exists and with little intensity in some Religious Schools, fundamentally in the Preventive System of Dn. Bosco in the SALESIANS, but it should be extended to all Educational Entities. The close relationship between Parents and Educators in the Times that we live is vital and highly recommended, making it necessary to form “Unions of Parents” where the Political and Religious issue is “EXPLICITLY” eliminated, focusing primarily on the Moral and Ethical issue in formation of People and their orientation in the Instruction of their children.

The problem is the absence of family values, it is the interference of little supervised scientific and technological progress, the problem is the misunderstanding of children’s rights … the lack of public policies designed for education … and the absence of schools for parents that contribute to public education in general …

I cannot agree more with all these statements. I have seen him in a classroom and in my own home.
It is giving priority to things that are not, and other more valuable, such as respect, knowing how to listen, etc. they are put aside; reason, perhaps, because we don’t want our children to go through what we go through. Well, I thank my teachers for punishing me, for not letting me pass a thing or two, for teaching me, because thanks to them I am what I am; Besides being a person, I want to consider myself a “teacher”. I believe that there is no greater honor in life than to open minds and teach them not only subjects, but new worlds and goals in their lives.

The work of the teacher teacher is to teach above all to create motivate the student to think.
EVERYTHING IN THE CLASSROOM AS AN INTEGRATED WORKSHOP OF ALL SUBJECTS… THINK REFLECT

As a teacher I totally agree !!!

Strongly agree without a foundation built by the parents at home, as respecting the child does not learn properly

There is much truth in what is stated regarding the family and its responsibility in the education of children. However, in a country where the family is in crisis, where what we ask for is not given, what should the State do? Some studies carried out to determine the factors that can improve student performance show the importance of the level of development of a country. According to Brunner and Elacqua (2003) mention that in developed countries educational policy gives a weight of 80% to the family and 20% to the school; however, in developing countries the situation is different: school-related factors represent 60% and family 40%. In other words, educational action falls more heavily on schools in order to achieve educational improvements. Likewise, in another study by MINEDU (2006) regarding the National Evaluation of Student Performance (2004), it mentions that, among the services provided by the school, emotional support or tutoring favors the acquisition of skills in the student, and consequently, their performance in school. As we know, the training that must be developed in schools is comprehensive. But sometimes we fall into prioritizing the cognitive much more. Educational orientation is an inherent part of the functions exercised by the teacher. Although families leave much to be desired and do their part, the school must implement educational guidance strategies to a greater extent that help the integral formation of the student, precisely in what the family stopped doing.

This is because there are no longer mothers raising them at home, and if they stay with their grandmother or grandfather, they cannot scold them “because their [email protected] gets angry” or because “I tell them but they don’t pay attention to me”… parents … no longer scold, or punish “why ??”.

The most absolute reason has this colleague. Right now we can’t do class anymore. Children are arrogant, irreverent, irresponsible, lazy, disrespectful, and cruel. They do not bring their materials, books, homework, or pencil sometimes. Then they dedicate themselves to playing, talking and hindering the class. And since we can’t tell them anything, then the class turns into chaos. And if you ask them for a little order and respect, they get angry and accuse their parents, and the parents come and offend you and demand that their rights not be violated and that they will accuse the authorities and finally they will make a summary and you will fire. Today the education of this country (CHILE) is going through this trance and nobody defends us. We believe this should be addressed at the country level. It is a fight that we must tackle since it is necessary to be able to do our work efficiently and progress.

I was a victim of annoyance and mistreatment in high school … I was socially rejected like other classmates in high school … believe me … it’s the worst not to teach your child to respect or show a little friendly interest to other classmates! to your son !!!

Interesting …… ..but I wonder ……… and who teaches the father?… .A farmer father, from the jungle has according to my experience a little more education than the one from the sierra… .. I listen to the radio that it was a school ( Colombian radio and other years 50 to 70) the one from the jungle has another personality, is more open and communicative. The one from the sierra is more closed, distrustful, lacking culture, many times illiterate… .. in both cases they have been exploited, deceived …… there have been no educational campaigns for adults …… .from there you can only teach your child what little he knows to defend himself in life. Then he sends him to school to be better than him, to face society, to develop, to be better than his parents. But in many cases the teachers of the public schools that are in the towns, are the least culturally developed…. Many times young people who left high school or pedagogists who teach little… .. Parents could not teach what they do not know, and Neither teachers because they know more about the educational curriculum than about effective human relations ………. Years ago there was still teaching of Manners, civics, the famous Carreño, Mrs. Santolalla, ´but it was long out of use. With the increase in violence in the cities, in Peru the terrorism that left a school of fear and mistrust …… what to do with rulers who have bad behavior, what can be asked of a common father ………… from there I consider the importance and responsibility that the church (anyone) has in teaching what it says on the paper above ……… “Good manners and Respect” since the bases of Christianity are in LOVE,…. then it could be said that the church has not fulfilled that role, of teaching the community of all social classes, especially the poor, Christian manners. I believe that each mass, meeting, worship, session or whatever you want to call it should be part of a permanent course of LOVE or human relations. ..more than being afraid of hell …… or heaven …………. Jesus said:
John 13:35 In this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another ………… based on this we could say that the church has failed ………… .. it has not focused on what Jesus Christ commanded what it is: TO TEACH ……… .love, good manners, respect, hospitality, honest work, solidarity, altruism, patience, perseverance, care for the elderly, respect for life, .a permanent course ……… at least 52 times a year, in addition to the use of the media ………… ..without shouting, without asking for money ……… ..for LOVE

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE WHOLE WORLD. EVEN THOUGH THEY TELL ME THAT I’M WRONG, I STILL THINK THAT IF THERE ARE SOME DIRECT GUILTY: PSYCHOLOGISTS, PSYCHOPEDAGOGS AND HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS, BEFORE THERE WERE METHODS SOMETIMES RUDIMENTLY LAUGHED BY CHEESE, BUT VERY RUDIMENTARIANS OF CHEESE. – THE GRID- THE BELT- THE STICK OF THE BROOM- THE MOTHER’S BOFETO TO THE SON IN THE SUCK- THE SAME OLD BROTHERS ‘SQUARE- THE PELA WITH THE DADDY’S STRAP- THE REAL PUNISHMENTS (YOU WILL NOT LISTEN TO RADIO TODAY) – THIS WEEKEND I WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO THE TOWN- IF THEY CONTINUE BEHAVING BAD, THERE IS NO END OF THE YEAR GIFT- THERE IS NO GOD CHILD- WHEN YOU LEAVE STUDY AND GO ON HOLIDAYS- YOU DO NOT GO WHERE YOUR COUSINES- BEFORE THE MOMS DIDN’T GO OUT FROM THE HOUSES TO WORK- THE FATHER WOULD LEAVE … NOW THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL SITUATION HAS MADE THAT THERE IS NO ONE WHO CORRECTS THE BOY IN THE HOUSE, NEITHER FATHER, NOR MOTHER, NOR BROTHERS, EACH ONE IS IN HIS OWN, YES VERY MUCH A LADY WHO TAKES CARE OF THE CHILD DURING THE DAY, WHICH IT ENDS LOVING MORE THAN HIS MISSA MOTHER. SO? WHAT WE COMPLAIN ABOUT … THAT THE MODERN TIMES CONTINUE WITH CHILDREN EDUCATED BY TELEVISION, BY ELECTRONIC GAMES, BY CELLULAR CHILDREN WITHOUT FEELINGS, WITHOUT LOVE, MANY WITH WEATHER PARENTS BUT WITHOUT ANYTHING IN THE BRAIN OR IN THEIR LONELY HEART – BECAUSE YOU HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE TRUE LOVE OF SOME PARENTS, WHO ONLY BROUGHT IT TO THE WORLD BY SOCIAL COMMITMENT OR ACCIDENT.

Argentine teachers … I understand their impotence but I think it is better to stop blaming parents, the state and so many others … I understand that their salaries are low, and I know that my income is also low, because I am a merchant. I am convinced that the only way a country can rise is by fully participating in its reconstruction … there is much to rebuild … and the first thing we must do is put our selfishness aside. In these hard times we have forgotten our neighbor … only I count … only YOOOO … and that is the origin of all evil … let’s put ourselves IN THE PLACE OF THE OTHER … and participate in a change that generates empathy … the career they chose is not individualistic … You are in front of a group of children, teenagers or adults who come to you with a desire to excel. And it is important that you put yourself in a place that generates affection and respect … it is easier to say they are spoiled little children and give up … let’s hold support meetings for teachers and parents who want to change this way of teaching … let’s start at home … no matter how many we may be … I encourage you to participate … WITHOUT ANY TITLE THAT ENDORSES THIS FOR ME BUT WITH MANY YEARS ON MY BACK … We must find a way to catch their interest … there are ways to teach that they catch you and transport you to wonderful world of knowledge … who is more cunning ??? The teacher who has prepared to teach or a spoiled child who gets bored because he did not find that king of light that brings knowledge ??? Let’s be adults !!! LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE !!! I DARE TO COLLABORATE … LET US FIND THE SPARK THAT UNDERSTANDS THE DESIRE TO KNOW !!! AND WE WILL BE THAT COUNTRY THAT PROSTS US AGAIN …
