Turning a boring class into entertainment for students is usually not an easy task, that’s why we reveal 10 strategies so that your students do not lose their curiosity and their desire to learn.

Asking questions to students during class

Asking questions, even simple ones, is enough to attract the curiosity of the little ones.

Apply a short five-minute test at the beginning of each class

A little check at the beginning of the class on what was given the day before is enough to refresh content.

Use audiovisual presentations

The use of videos, PowerPoint presentations, images and audios can break the monotony of the class. Don’t wait any longer to try it!

Encourage your students to get to know each other

Getting the kids to know each other is great so they can help each other in the future. Cards can be made with simple questions such as, where are you from? What programs or pictures do you like on TV? What hobbies do you have? … etc. While one of them is answering them, the other can write them down and then share it with the others.

Talk less so students think more

Talking non-stop throughout the class can cause children to be clueless and inattentive. Take breaks every ten minutes so that students can talk to each other about doubts or problems they have had with the explanation, so that they can also answer each other.

Encourage collaboration

Doing group work is a good way to encourage collaboration among everyone. Put time limits on each task and, once finished, have them comment out loud about the problems they have encountered and how they have been able to solve them.

This system improves the performance of exercises and work, individually also improving their ability to resolve when listening to various alternatives from other colleagues.

Pyramid teaching

To solve a problem or give an answer to a question from the teacher, we can work in groups of two people. Once the groups agree, they should come together to make groups of four. When they agree again, they will form groups of 8, and so on until the whole class agrees with the final answer.

Ask students to evaluate each other’s work and exercises

You simply have to exchange the work, control or exercise that has been done at that time, so that another of your colleagues can evaluate and comment if it is correct.

Organize discussions

A good way to achieve cohesion in the group is through discussions. Present a topic and ask what they think and what are their main arguments about it.

Break large agendas into subsections

You can make small subdivisions if the topic to be covered covers a lot of content. Ideally, do small activities to make sure it is understood correctly.

Thank you good strategies ,,,, they remind me what needs to be amended… ..well
