Thanksgiving Activities for the Kids’ Table

With Thanksgiving upon us here in America, it’s customary to take some extra time to ponder on the things we’re grateful for.  I am blessed with so many things.  Among those are the blessings that have come from this blog — and for that, I want to thank you, the readers of Not Just Cute.

Also on the minds of those preparing for Thanksgiving Day is how to keep all the little ones at your gathering happily busy in all the right ways.  I’ve gathered up a sampling of great activities (with tons of fine motor practice and creativity opportunities) so you can gather the kiddos around and build great memories together.

Deborah at Teach Preschool shared this brilliant activity for letting the kids decorate a huge turkey using sticky paper.  She’s a genius!

For more feather fun, check out this fun color-matching feather activity from Allie at No Time for Flashcards.

Kiki Creates shares an awesome FREE printable for turkey creations inspired by Mr. Potato Head.  You don’t want to miss this one!

Mix up a batch of my favorite cinnamon spice playdough and let your little ones work on making their own playdough desserts.  (As a bonus, your house will smell fantastic!)

I absolutely LOVE this creative idea from Amy at The Idea Room.  “Food Face Plates”, you really have to see!  Your kids will love it.  So fun you might just have to make one yourself!

Take a blast from the past and check out these two turkey crafts from a few years back.

Have a very wonderful Thanksgiving!

And remember to stop by here sometime this weekend to catch the amazing Black Friday ebook deal full of playful learning ideas!
