Great Resources…From Free to Five Dollars!

I’m so excited for Nicole (who said: “Thanks for the giveaway! I am so impressed by the blog tour and look forward to following Not Just Cute going forward!“).  She’s the winner of the Playful Learning giveaway!  Don’t worry, the rest of you can pick up Playful Learning at  Amazon (it’s absolutely worth it).  And you can still register for the fabulous Playful Learning ecourse, which starts September 14th, by clicking here.

I also wanted to share with you a few more resources available now.  You could take advantage of all four of these for just $10 total!  (In fact, one offers the possibility of actually making money!)

1.  A while back, I had the pleasure of chatting online with child psychologist and mother of 4, Dr. Heather Wittenberg  (AKA the Baby Shrink).  She was one of those people who I instantly felt comfortable with.  She was genuine and warm and a real delight to get to know briefly.

I just learned that she will be hosting a facebook chat and will be answering questions people may have about helping their children with the back to school transitions (and all the other worries that come up this time of year.  (As an added bonus, the chat host, La Petite Academy, is also offering chat participants a chance to win a $100 Target Giftcard® just for attending the chat.)

So here are the deets:

Where: La Petite Academy Facebook Page

When: Wednesday, August 31, 9:00pm – 10:30pm EST

Who:Host Dr. Heather Wittenberg (the BabyShrink)

How to enter to win: At the end of the chat, Dr. Heather will reveal a code word.  E-mail that code word to BacktoSchoolChat@gmail.com by 12 p.m. ET on Sept. 1, 2011 and you will be entered to win. (Be sure your e-mail subject line is La Petite Academy).

Get your event invite.   And check out Dr. Heather’s Bio.

2.  Tsh Oxenreider, writer of Simple Mom, and creator of Simple Living Media, knows a few things about simplifying.  And as Tsh says, “Sometimes, simplifying can feel… complicated.”

Just like the proverbial elephant, large goals are often met one task – or bite – at a time.  That’s why Tsh has put together this ebook with 52 projects to help you on your way to a simplified life.  Anyone teaching or raising children can appreciate that, right?  And one more thing to appreciate: this ebook is currently available for just $5!  Click here to visit Simple Mom and learn more.

3.  For a limited time, you can pick up How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too for just $4.99, either for your Kindle here or as a PDF download (click here to view more details).  This ebook is for every mother who’s ever wondered if it’s possible to pursue her own passions while investing in her family and managing a home.

In How to Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too, Mandi Ehman shares her personal story of pursuing her passion while balancing a busy household, caring for four young daughters and homeschooling.  But more than her story, she also shares practical tips to help you maximize your time and energy so you really can have the best of both worlds.

It’s a handbook to give you the tools to juggle your many responsibilities and to do it with intentionality rather than living under the burden of mommy guilt.  Grab this bargain while it lasts!

4. I love the Creative Commons on Flickr!  There are some great letter and number prints available there if you’re looking to spice up your playroom, classroom, or child’s bedroom.  (Always check the licensing details to be sure they match your use.)  I really like the one above by Leo Reynolds.  If you go to this photo’s link here, you’ll find links to many other alphabet collages beneath the image.  I’m also fond of the architectural/abstract alphabet collage here, and this number collage.  How fun would it be to go on your own letter/number scavenger hunt with your child and make your own collage art?

Hope you can make good use of one or more of these great deals!
